Sweeping the Sky - A Wish for Clean Air
Reviving Nature Art Residency at Studio 88 in Thailand

Johanna Griffith (she/her) was born in New Brunswick (Canada), studied art at the Alberta College of Art & Design (ACAD), and now lives in Saint-Bruno, Québec. She works at the confluence of printmaking, textile art and alternative photography. Since 2000, she has exhibited her work in Canada and abroad. Her prints can be found in private and public collections on four continents. She shares her passion for art with people of all ages through cultural mediation, classes and workshops.

Johanna Griffith (elle) est née au Nouveau-Brunswick (au Canada), a étudié en art au Alberta College of Art & Design (ACAD), et vit à St-Bruno, Québec. Elle travaille à la confluence de l'estampe, de l'art textile et de la photo alternative. Depuis 2000, elle expose ses oeuvres au Canada et à l'étranger. Ses estampes se trouvent dans des collections privées et publiques sur quatre continents. Elle partage sa passion pour l'art en donnant des cours et ateliers et en faisant de la médiation culturelle.

2026: Bourse CALQ Entente Territoriale
C’est avec gratitude que j'ai reçu les nouvelles que ma demande de bourse Entente Territoriale du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec a été acceptée!
Murmures des saisons est un projet de recherche-création qui explore la saisonnalité dans la nature et la vie en utilisant la couleur des plantes comme métaphore. Ce projet vise à approfondir la conscience écologique, le lien avec la nature et l’appréciation du territoire.
I am very grateful to be heading into 2026 with the support of le CALQ. My project, Murmur of Seasons, has received funding through the Entente Territoriale.
Murmur of Seasons is a research-creation project that explores seasonality in nature and life using plant colour as material and metaphor. The project aims to deepen ecological awareness, connection and appreciation by listening closely to the land.

Avec le programme La culture à l'école, du Ministère de l'Éducation, une école primaire à Montréal m'a accueilli pour un projet de 3 mois (mars à mai 2025) auquel participent tous les élèves. Nous travaillons un beau projet en cyanotype. Les photos vont suivre:)

Médiation culturelle et fresque participative
Grâce à Éclore un organisme qui vise à placer l'art et la culture au coeur du projet de transition socio-écologique au Québec, je serai au Symposium Ouranos la 10e édition du rendez-vous québécois en climatologie et en adaptation aux changements climatiques le 28 & 29 janvier 2025 pour créer une fresque participative avec les participant.e.s.
